The practice is based on the belief that the body has channels or meridians of energy, called Qi, that flow through it. According to traditional Chinese medicine, when the flow of Qi is disrupted or blocked, it can cause health problems or pain.

During an acupuncture session, a practitioner will use sterile, single-use needles to puncture the skin at specific points on the body, depending on the individual's symptoms and medical history. The needles are typically left in place for several minutes, and sometimes the practitioner may gently manipulate them to further stimulate the Qi.

IMS (Intramuscular Stimulation) and dry needling are therapeutic techniques used to address musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction.

IMS is a treatment that targets deep muscle tightness and chronic pain caused by neuromuscular imbalances. It involves the insertion of thin acupuncture needles into specific points known as trigger points within affected muscles. The needles stimulate the underlying muscle tissues, releasing tension, improving blood flow, and promoting healing. IMS aims to restore normal muscle function, relieve pain, and address the root cause of the musculoskeletal condition.

Dry needling, on the other hand, is a technique employed by various healthcare professionals, including physical therapists and chiropractors. It involves the insertion of fine needles into trigger points, taut bands, or myofascial trigger points within muscles, tendons, ligaments, or other soft tissues. The needles help release tension, stimulate the body's natural healing response, and improve tissue function. Dry needling can target a range of musculoskeletal conditions, including muscle spasms, myofascial pain syndrome, and sports injuries.

Both IMS and dry needling are considered minimally invasive procedures that aim to alleviate pain, improve muscle function, and restore overall physical well-being. These techniques should be performed by qualified practitioners who have received appropriate training and have a thorough understanding of human anatomy. It is important to consult with a healthcare professional to determine if IMS or dry needling is a suitable treatment option for your specific condition.

During the procedure, a device delivers high-energy shockwaves to the affected area, stimulating the body's natural healing response.

Shockwave therapy is commonly used to treat conditions like plantar fasciitis, tendinitis, calcific shoulder tendinopathy, and other chronic soft tissue injuries. The shockwaves promote blood flow, increase metabolic activity, and trigger tissue regeneration, which can lead to reduced pain and improved mobility.

Shockwave therapy offers an alternative to surgical intervention for certain conditions and is considered safe when administered by qualified healthcare professionals.

Post-concussion therapy, also known as concussion rehabilitation, is a specialized treatment aimed at assisting individuals in their recovery following a concussion or mild traumatic brain injury (TBI). The therapy is designed to address a wide range of physical, cognitive, and emotional symptoms that can persist after the initial injury.

During post-concussion therapy, your healthcare professional will create a personalized treatment plan. The therapy may include physical exercises to improve balance, coordination, and vestibular function, as well as cognitive exercises to enhance memory, attention, and problem-solving skills.

The therapy also focuses on managing symptoms like headaches, dizziness, fatigue, and anxiety. Gradually, as the patient's symptoms improve, the therapy may involve a gradual return to work, school, or sports activities.

Vestibular therapy, also known as vestibular rehabilitation or balance therapy, is a specialized form of physical therapy that focuses on diagnosing and treating disorders related to the vestibular system. The vestibular system, located in the inner ear, is responsible for maintaining balance, spatial orientation, and eye movement control.

Vestibular therapy aims to alleviate symptoms caused by vestibular disorders, such as dizziness, vertigo (a spinning sensation), imbalance, and visual disturbances. These disorders can result from various conditions, including vestibular neuritis, Meniere's disease, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), and post-concussion syndrome.

During vestibular therapy, a trained therapist works closely with the patient to assess their specific symptoms and limitations. The therapy sessions typically involve a series of exercises and activities designed to promote adaptation, compensation, and habituation. These exercises may include head and body movements, eye exercises, balance training, and gait training.

The overall goal of vestibular therapy is to improve the patient's ability to maintain balance, reduce dizziness and vertigo episodes, enhance gaze stability, and increase overall functional independence. The therapy is customized to each individual's needs and may take several weeks or months, depending on the severity of the vestibular disorder and the progress made by the patient.

Vestibular therapy can significantly improve the quality of life for individuals suffering from vestibular disorders, helping them regain their balance, reduce falls, and alleviate symptoms that can greatly impact their daily activities. It is important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional, such as an otolaryngologist or a physical therapist specializing in vestibular rehabilitation, to receive an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan.

Lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle and rhythmic massage technique aimed at improving the flow of lymphatic fluid throughout the body. It specifically targets the lymphatic system, which plays a crucial role in immune function and waste removal.

During a lymphatic drainage massage, a trained therapist uses light, circular motions and gentle pressure to stimulate the lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels. This encourages the movement of lymphatic fluid, helping to eliminate toxins, excess fluid, and waste products from tissues. The massage also promotes lymphatic system detoxification and can aid in reducing swelling, improving circulation, and enhancing overall immune function.

Lymphatic drainage massage is commonly used to address conditions such as lymphedema, post-surgery swelling, inflammation, and general detoxification. It is a safe and non-invasive therapy that can provide relaxation and promote a sense of well-being.
