Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medical practice that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body. The practice is based on the belief that the body has channels or meridians of energy, called Qi, that flow through it. According to traditional Chinese medicine, when the flow of Qi is disrupted or blocked, it can cause health problems or pain.

During an acupuncture session, a practitioner will use sterile, single-use needles to puncture the skin at specific points on the body, depending on the individual's symptoms and medical history. The needles are typically left in place for several minutes, and sometimes the practitioner may gently manipulate them to further stimulate the Qi.

Our Acupuncturist are also trained in using various other techniques such as Cupping, Active Stretching techniques and other manual therapy treatments.
